Our new term starts soon. We’re looking forward to welcoming singers old and new to our choir in north London. Whether you’re a beginner and don’t know what part suits your voice, or you’re a seasoned tenor – all are welcome to come along and sign up in January.
Term dates
Start of term: Tuesday 9th January, 7.30pm
Please turn up from 7pm to sign up and get your music copies. The fee for the term is £60 (cash or cheque only, sorry…) which you pay when you sign up, and we offer a reduced rate for students and claimants. If want to try us out before forking out, that’s fine too.
We rehearse every Tuesday from 9 January through to Tuesday 12 March, except for half term, which falls on 13 February.
Address: William Ellis School, Highgate Road, London NW5 1RN
Concert: Saturday 16 March – we usually have a final rehearsal on the afternoon of the concert at St Mary Brookfield Church, and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
What we’re singing
This term we’re singing parts 2 & 3 of Handel’s ‘Messiah’. Which includes the famous Hallelujah chorus:
We last did this in 2015, but no matter if you haven’t sung it before, we’ll be learning it all from scratch.
We’ll share the rehearsal schedule here on the website and some handy learning materials soon. One site that we find useful for learning the music is Cyberbass. You can find all the voice parts for Handel’s Messiah here on Cyberbass.
