Testimonials

I love singing with NCChorus. I find the music uplifting, and have made many new friends. Our choirmaster is brilliant and supportive, and even though I’m not musically gifted I always enjoy our weekly rehearsals.

We just wanted to say thank you for being such a lovely and welcoming group. Because Susan has sung in choirs before and David hasn’t, we were looking for a choir that was fun (for both of us) and not too judgy (for David). This choir hit the sweet spot – mainly because you are such friendly, warm and generous people. We enjoyed the singing immensely and for one of us, possibly, the pub afterwards even more. We hope our paths will cross again sometime in the future, but in the meantime, a huge thank you and Merry Christmas.

NCChorus is an impressive choir to be part of. It’s a very inclusive group,  you get to learn and perform challenging choral work and there are plenty of opportunities to socialise. I love our Tuesday night sessions, the excitement of a concert looming and the support we get from our wonderful music director Ian and pianist Mark. I’ve met many friendly and supporting people which make being part of this choir so special. I would say to anyone thinking of joining NCChorus to stop thinking and just come along – I’m really happy I did!

I’ve been a member of the North Camden Chorus since it began, when parents and teachers of William Ellis and Parliament Hill Schools joined together to sing with the pupils. The choir/Chorus has always welcomed new members and no auditions are required. Some musical knowledge is helpful, but we are given time to learn our parts and wrong notes are part of the learning experience. So come along and join in the fun!

There’s nothing quite like singing with other people, and singing in the North Camden Chorus is a real joy. I joined, somewhat hesitantly, as an absolute beginner. I honestly feel extremely lucky that this was the first choir I found. The music is great and, just as importantly, so are the people – they’re why I keep coming back term after term.
